Stefanie Blochwitz speaking on stage
Speaker & Judge

Photographer, judge, AI specialist. I see what carries an image – and what holds a business back.

Hands-on, free of buzzwords, with tools that work next Monday.

Short profile

What cost me the most time was never the photography.

I'm Stefanie Blochwitz, a photographer based in Chur, Switzerland. For years I have photographed weddings, portraits, sport – and underwater. And for years I have run a business alongside it. What I speak about on stage comes straight out of that double role.

I'm not a tech voice. I'm a creative who uses AI – and who can tell you what it actually feels like to start.

Topics

Two rooms. One approach.

I never talk about theory I don't use myself.

01

For business owners

AI as your best employee, not as hype.

For freelancers and small teams who spend too much of their time on work nobody ever sees. I show how AI actually works in the daily business: as an assistant that thinks along, rather than one more tool to look after.

  • Where AI pays off immediately – and where it honestly doesn't
  • Automations that work without writing a line of code
  • The first step for next Monday

Business conferences · associations · SME formats · company events

02

For photographers & creatives

A signature that still holds in five years.

For everyone who would rather not be the twentieth photographer with the same look. About visual identity, about positioning built on substance – and about how AI can take weight off the workflow while leaving your own visual language intact.

  • How a visual language emerges – and how you hold on to it
  • Positioning that isn't built on trends
  • What I see in an image as a judge

Photography conferences · association events · trade shows · industry meetings

The first step for next Monday.
Not for “someday”.

Formats

From a single impulse to ongoing work.

Keynote

30–60 minutes. One clear message, concrete examples.

Workshop

Half day or full day. Working on your own processes.

Panel & moderation

On AI, creativity and positioning.

Judging & portfolio review

Competitions, awards, association juries, panel assessments.

In German and English.

Judging

I judge to move people forward.

In photography there is no right or wrong.

What I look at first

  1. Impact
  2. Creativity
  3. Originality
  4. Technical excellence

My feedback is constructive and encouraging. I want photographers to leave an assessment knowing exactly how to take their work to a higher level – and wanting to do it. That matters more to me than any verdict.

I judge for associations and competitions, train the next generation and prepare photographers for their own submissions – in German and English.

I have been through this process myself

  • ICON International Photography Awards 2025Top Ten Finalist · Portrait Individual
  • WPE International Photographers Awards 2025Silver · Honors of Excellence
  • The Portrait Masters 2023Silver

I sit at this table because I have stood in front of it myself.

Podcast & press

For conversations that go past the technology.

I'm a willing guest for anything that sits between creativity, running a business and AI – and I have little use for answers nobody can act on.

Questions worth asking

  • What can AI really do in a small business – and what can't it?
  • How do you set up an AI like an employee: context, tasks, boundaries?
  • How do you give criticism in a way that lifts someone up?
  • What does a judge see in an image that others miss?
  • How do you build a visual language that still holds in five years?
